There have many reports about Jacqueline Fernandez performing for the forthcoming closing ceremony of Indian Premiere League. The ongoing cricket tournament that is nearing its end this week, will be ending with a bang. Along with many performances lined up, one of the most awaited celebs for the evening is Jacqueline.

With as many as almost 20 hit songs to her credit, Jacqueline Fernandez is expected to sizzle on stage yet again, just like her fun performance during the opening ceremony. The actress is set for another extravaganza for the closing ceremony and she will be seen performing on some of her chartbusters. Reports have it that she will be performing on a medley of her hits.

However, it seems amidst the constant preps and dance rehearsals, Jacqueline Fernandez decided to take some out to groove to some of her favourite numbers. In fact, she posted about dancing to a Cardi B number amidst the IPL rehearsals. She shared the same as one of her Instagram stories for the day.

On the work front, Jacqueline Fernandez will next be seen in Race 3 alongside Salman Khan. The action thriller, directed by Remo D’Souza, also stars Bobby Deol, Daisy Shah and Saqib Saleem. The film is slated to release on June 15, marking the occasion of Eid.

Salman Khan plays saviour to Katrina Kaif & Jacqueline Fernandez

If you need a godfather in the Hindi film industry, do try to contact Salman Khan. The superstar has mentored many successful (Himesh Reshammiya, Katrina Kaif, Sajid–Wajid) and unsuccessful (Indra Kumar, Daisy Shah, Zareen Khan, Sneha Ullal) careers. Now he is busy giving an added fillip and boost to the successful careers of two female stars. A bit of tadka, if you will, to their careers. These lucky ladies are Salman’s old friend Katrina Kaif and newer friend Jacqueline Fernandez.

Reliable sources tell us that the roles of the two ladies in their new films with bade dil wala Khan has been “substantially enhanced”, thanks to his “timely” intervention. First Katrina who is all set to make a comeback with Salman’s Tiger Zinda Hai after a foiled love affair (with Ranbir Kapoor) and a slew of non-starters (Phantom, Fitoor, Baar Baar Dekho, Jagga Jasoos).

Informed sources from within the Tiger team say Salman insisted that Katrina and only Katrina be signed for the film. Says the source, “There was talk of replacing Katrina in the sequel since her recent films had underperformed. But Salman put his foot down, arguing only Katrina can play the lead in the sequel as she had done the same in the first film.”

He also ensured that Katrina was given enough prominence in the script. Sources say some of the action scenes were written in especially for Katrina on Salman’s “creative intervention.” As for Jacqueline she owes Salman big-time. Not only did Salman’s Kick kick-start her journey to stardom now in Race 3 Salman ensured she was given ample space in the cluttered multi-starrer.

Says a source, “When Salman decided to do Race 3 with director Remo d‘Souza instead of the dance film he was supposed to do with the choreographer-director, he made sure that Jacqueline who was to star with Salman in the dance film was also relocated into the new project. Then when Salman got to know that Jacqueline’s role was relatively meagre in Race 3, he insisted on it being increased. Jacqueline now has a far more substantial role in Race 3 than she did when she entered the project.”

Bhai, Godfather ho toh aisa.

Race 3 actress Jacqueline Fernandez set to SIZZLE at the closing ceremony of IPL 2018 (read details)

Jacqueline Fernandez has been roped in to perform for the closing ceremony of the Indian Premier League on May 27 to be held in Mumbai. The actress has also been a part of the opening ceremony of the cricketainment where she danced to her hit numbers including ‘Tan Tana Tan’ and ‘Lift Teri Bandh Hai’ from her blockbuster film Judwaa 2.

According to sources, “Jacqueline is the only actress to have been roped in for both the opening and closing act of IPL. Not only does she have several hit songs to her credit, she is also high on energy and known for her moves, that’s the reason she is sought after. Now, she will be grooving to her latest number ‘Heeriye’ from Race 3.”

There are also talks of her performing a medley to her other popular tracks. “Till date Jacqueline has 19 hits that include ‘Chittiyan Kalliyan’, ‘Jumme Ki Raat’, ‘Sooraj Dooba Hai’ and ‘Sau Tarah Ke’. Discussions are on to create a new musical piece that will weave all these songs together. A final call will be taken in a day or two about it,” adds the source.

The actress will not only perform on the ground but also will also be part of the two-hour TV show Cricket Final Party Toh Banti Hai where she will be seen talking about cricket with Salman Khan promoting their upcoming movie Race 3 and also shake a leg to their song.

With Race 3 coming up, Jacqueline Fernandez will be seen recreating the Kick magic with Salman Khan. The pair garnered immense love from the audience, so much so that Sajid Nadiadwala has already cast the duo in Kick 2. Produced by Salman Khan Films and Ramesh Taurani under the banner of Tips Films, Race 3 is directed by Remo D’souza and will hit theatres on Eid 2018.

‘Selfish’ is penned by none other than Salman Khan and is crooned by Atif Aslam and Iulia Vantur. The song marks Atif Aslam’s return to the franchise, who had delivered ‘Pehli Nazar’ and ‘Be Intehaan’ for the earlier installments respectively.

Marking the festive season of Eid, Race 3 proves to be a complete festive bonanza, with action, family drama, suspense, romance and promise of blockbuster songs. Starring an ensemble cast of Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Saqib Saleem and Daisy Shah, the action thriller is directed by Remo D’souza and will hit theatres on 15th June 2018.
